Ingredients
- 4 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala recommended)
- 1 cup natural almond butter (no added sugar)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)
- Optional toppings:
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut flakes
- 2 tablespoons chopped raw almonds
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Wash and dry the apples thoroughly.
- If using lemon juice, prepare a small bowl with water and lemon juice.
- Core the apples (if using an apple corer) or cut around the core.
- Slice each apple into 8-10 even wedges.
- If using lemon juice, quickly dip apple slices to prevent browning.
- Arrange apple slices on serving plates.
- Portion ¼ cup of almond butter into small serving bowls for each person.
- If using optional toppings, sprinkle them over the almond butter.
